The beginning   Rupert Gardner Design AB is a design office with an international practice based in Stockholm, Sweden. From our beginnings in 1985, we have worked with environmental design in the wider sense, integrating architecture, interior design, and graphics to create solutions that are appropriate to the particular needs and goals of each client. Over the years we have applied our methods to a wide range of projects, from offices, shops and private homes to restaurants, cruise ships and retail chain stores. 

Our success   We believe our success comes from a deep commitment to our clients, where economy and function are just as important to the design as is appearance. In our view, good design arises out of a dialogue with the client, for it is only when the client truly understands what they are getting, and is aware of the choices, that a good result can be achieved. This attitude, together with an extensive knowledge of building systems and construction, assures a high level of quality in all our projects. It also means that every project we produce is unique and no design is like another.

Major projects in recent years include 200 JC fashion shops and 50 Brothers clothing shops in Sweden, Norway and Germany; Stockmann department stores in Finland; 35 Telia telephone shops and offices throughout Sweden; and 70 Carolls hamburger restaurants in Finland.

The staff   We offer our clients a whole range of supporting skills, from hand drawings to 3D CAD models. Our computer resources include a Windows NT network workstations equipped with software such as ArchiCad, Art-lantis, Photoshop and Pagemaker.
